The Story

With its organic design and earthy flow of glaze colors, our Sunflower Bird Feeder is beautiful to the eye and highly functional for birds. Just hang it in a tree or on a shepherd’s hook, fill it with seeds, and watch the them come.

Built for year-round use!

  • In early spring, this feeder provides extra nutrition following the rigor of migration, supporting birds as they build nests and lay eggs. High-protein seeds like black oil sunflower helps them recover from migration.
  • Throughout the summer, a well-placed bird feeder makes your backyard one of their favorites.
  • In the fall, it provides nutrients they need as they prepare for cold weather, migration, and snow.
  • During the winter, food with the proper nutrients is scarce. Offering seeds rich in fat provides essential energy for cold weather.

You can accent the feeder’s organic look by pushing twigs into each feeding station or just use wooden dowels. Twigs are more delicate than dowels, and birds weigh almost nothing at all, while squirrels do not!

Also, the hoods on the feeder prevent much of the rain from getting inside; however, there are drainage holes in the bottom of the feeder to help seeds dry after a storm (though our feeder draws so many birds, the seeds are cleaned out daily!)

As for type of seed, we personally prefer black oiled sunflower seeds as a crowd pleaser. But the Sunflower Feeder will accommodate a variety of seeds.
