Indulge yourself with a cup of coffee.

Unwind to the peaceful chatter of birds

Brighten your garden with a little fairy dust.

Relax with the fragrance of flowers.

We make our pottery from stoneware clay, then fire it to approximately 2100 degrees F. so it is food-safe and ready for the microwave, dishwasher, or oven!

In addition to art fairs, Walking Fish Pottery also provides clay experiences for people with disabilities through Artists Creating Together.

The Potter

I find that putting my hands in clay takes me back to playing in the mud. Of course, I was a young kid then. I have found that working with clay comes with a sense of satisfaction and fun just as much now as it was then. So, I have been “playing in the mud” now for over 40 years. My preference leans to hand-building rather than wheel throwing, although I have done some of that.

You can find two types of clay in my studio – brown clay for outdoor and white clay for  indoor work. Both fire to what potters call cone 6 (about 2100 degrees).

The pottery that I produce is intended to be used and not just sit on a shelf. Striving for Simplicity of Form, Purposeful Design, and Beautiful Glazes is what I work towards. This is always a work in progress.
